A zabuton (pron. zah'-boo-tawn) is the foundation cushion for your zafu (round sitting cushion) or meditation bench. It provides essential cushioning for your ankles and knees when sitting cross-legged on a zafu or on a meditation bench. 

The word Zabuton derives from the word Za (座, seating place) and futon (布団, round cushion).

This meditation mat (Zabuton) consists of a black cotton zippered cover and a muslin inner cover filled with kapok.
